I have been to Mumbai (locally known as Bombay) so many times for work trips. As I am living in New Delhi, Mumbai is only a 2 hours and 15 minutes flight away from the capital. On this work trip, I stayed over for the weekend, and went around this megacity by local train to take some pictures. I started in the morning around 10am and ended it in the evening.
It was so pleasant inside, not so crowded. If you are ever in Bombay on the weekend, give it a try to travel with a second class train. Highly recommended. It costs you 5 rupees, 0.08 USD as per today’s currency rate :) And not so much of a queue in the locket.
Gothic victorian landmark, the Victoria Terminus Train Station, opened in 1887. Do you know that roughly around 8 million Mumbaikars (that is what the people living in Mumbai are called) travel by train every day! only the train… That’s almost the whole population of Sweden.

The famous Taj Mahal hotel, Mumbai
I ended the day by having an afternoon coffee and a delicious cheese cake in the Tea Lounge inside the Taj Mahal Hotel and witnessed the beautiful orange sunlight slowly turning to darkness.
